WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

COMPETITION WINNERS

(“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs K. Ngatuere presided at the monthly meeting of the Hastwells Women's Institute.

Arrangements were made to hold a euchre party in aid of the Leper Fund. The motto given by Migs I. Madson read: “In'a just cause'it is right to be confident.”

The roll call given by Mrs J. Didwas a nursery rhyme.

A game organised by Miss E. Dick was won by Miss E. Larsen with Mrs C. Seymour second and Miss I. Madsen third. Other competition winners were: Raisin malt bar?: Senior, Mrs Madsen 1, Miss O. Halberg 2, Mrs E. Sigvertsen 3. Juniors: Miss E. Dick 1, Miss E. Larsen 2. Best flower: Miss I. Madsen 1, Mrs E. Sigvertsen 2, Mrs K. Ngatuere 3. The hostesses. Mrs Ngatuere, Senr., and Miss O. Halberg. served afternoon tea.
