PUBLIC NOTICES. BOROUGH OF GREYTOWN. MOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” "The Rating Act, 1925,” “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and amendments thereof, and any other power or authority it enabling, it is the intention of the Greytown Borough Council, at a Special Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Greytown, at 8 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, the 25th day of August, 1943, to strike and levy the following rates for the period April 1, 1943, to March 31, 1944. . In terms of Section 95 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” a Consolidated Borough Rate of 23d (two pence and three farthings) in the £ equally upon the capital value of all property within the Borough of Greytown, such rate to include: — (a) A General Rate of 2d in the £. A Separate Library Rate of l-16d in the £. A Separate Hospital Rate of 7-16 d in the £. A Separate Lighting Rate of Id in the £.

(b), A Consolidated Loan Rate of I’d in the £ equally upon the Capital Value of all property within the Borough of Greytown, such rate to include — Special Conversion Loan No. 1 Rate of Id in the £. Special Conversion Loan No. 2 Rate of Id in the £. Special Gas Loan No. 1 Rate of Id in the £.

(c) That the said rate shall be due and payable in one sum at the Council Chambers, Greytown, on WEDNESDAY, September 1, 1943, during office hours.

(d) That a rebate of 5% (five per centum) shall be allowed on so much of the said rate as is paid within thirty days of due date hereof. " (e) That the Valuation Roll and Rate Book are open for inspection during office hours at the Council Chambers, Greytown. (f) In addition to the above rates, notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Greytown Borough Council to strike and levy a General Rate on behalf of the Waiohine River Board )f one farthing in the £, equally upon the Capital Value, of all rateable property, in the Waiohine River Board District, within the jurisdiction of the Greytown Borough Council, for the period April 1, 1943, to March 31, 1944, provided that the said rate shall not be less than one shilling on any one property.
