ITALIANS IN HANKOW
UNDER STRICT JAPANESE SURVEILLANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) CHUNGKING, August 15. The-Central News Agency reports that following on the fall of Mussolini the Japanese authorities in Hankow placed all Italians in the city under strict surveillance, and also confiscated their shortwave radios and prescribed severe punishment for Italians listening to Allied broadcasts.
