MARRIAGE IN LONDON

WING COMMANDER E. P. WELLS

SERVICE IN DUTCH CHURCH.

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 14.

Wing Commander E. P. Wells, D.S.O. D.F.C. and Bar, Cambridge, New Zealand. married Miss Mary Dorothea De Booy at the Dutch Reform Church in London today. The service was entirely in Dutch, except for a statement in English, read at the bridegroom’s request, which expressed regret at the unavoidable absence of the parents of both bride and bridegroom. The couple entered the church together, Wing Commander Wells on the bride’s right. They sat together in the front of the congregation. There was no best man. Nobody gave the bride away. No ring was fixed on the bride's finger. All that the bride and bridegroom were expected to say was a simple "Ja.”
