WEDDING

LIGHTFOOT—TAYLFORTH.

The marriage took place recently at the Lansdowpe Presbyterian Church, Masterton, of Gwendolyn Joyce, second daughter of Mr and Mrs R. P. TaHforth, Masterton, to Pit. SerjyaThGrady Hubert, U.S.M.C., only son of Mr and Mrs B. J. Lightfoot, Georgia, U.S.A. The Rev. D. McNeur officiated and Miss M. McNeur presided at the organ. Escorted by her father, the bride made a charming picture in a classic gown of honey satin. Orange blossom held an embroidered tulle veil in place and her bouquet was of cream and pink flowers. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Doreen Dagg, who wore Eastern blue taffeta and carried a bouquet of pastel-shaded flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Sergeant Doyle Wilson, U.S.M.C. As the party left the church, the bride was presented with a satin horseshoe by her little nephew, Derek Cooper. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs J. G. Dagg, where about forty guests were received by Mrs Taylforth, who was dressed in a navy blue ensemble with cyclamen shoulder spray.

When Mr and Mrs Lightfoot left later for the north, the bride vjore a misty blue costume with navy blue accessories.
