DISTRICT FORECAST: Fresh but decreasing souxnerlies. Weather cold and changeable with passing showers, but increasing fair periods. Sharp frosts tonight in sheltered positions.
FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair to fine.
Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 11 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday and 3 points ended 9 a.m. today. The Waingawa sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended yesterday; — Shade temperature, maximum, 49; minimum, 42; terrestrial, 40; sunshine, 6 hours 24 minutes; rain, 8 points.
