Extensive damage is being caused to good lands by the depredations of wild pigs which are most numerous in the Pirinoa district. Owing to the shortage of feed in the bush the pigs are coming out into the open country, where in most areas new grass is rapidly coming away. Sheep farmers are most concerned as the lambing season is near and an old boar can kill a number of newly-born lambs in one night.
Car and Cows Collide.
A motor car driven by a local resident, collided with a herd of dairy cows which were being driven along the Martinborough road the other night. The car was damaged.
