Hitler has created the post of In-spector-General for War Prisoners. The Berlin radio said the InspectorGeneral's duties would include the supervision of war prisoner camps m Germany and in all operational aieas, with particular attention to security measures, and the employment of prisoners on military work. It is pointed out in London that th War Prisoners’ Convention states that. “Work done by war prisoners should not have a direct connection with an operation of war. In particular .it is forbidden to employ prisoners in th manufacture of transport of arms or munitions of any kind, or on the trans port of material destined for comba - ant units.”
