NYLON STOCKINGS
SUPPLIES FOR AUSTRALIA. COMING FROM UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Thousands of pairs of nylon stockings will be on sale in Australia within the next three months. Supplies are being sent under the lend-lease agreement with the United States and will be released through the Clothing Commission. They will sell at from 15s to 18s a pair. Nylon stockings were first placed on the American market in 1940 and cost two dollars a pair.
