MILITARY CROSS
AWARDED TO WAIRARAPA OFFICER. SERVICE IN MIDDLE EAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, has been advised that his Majesty the King has approved an immediate award of the Military Cross to Captain A. F. Harding, in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in the Middle East. Captain Harding’s next-of-kin is Mr A. F. Harding, Martinborough. Captain Harding enlisted in England and joined the New Zealand Division in 1940.
