ARRIVAL IN CANADA
BRITISH PRIME MINISTER TO CONFER WITH PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT. AND ALLIED CHIEFS OF STAFF. LONDON. August 10. It is announced from Ottawa that Mr Churchill has arrived jn Canada. The British Prime Minister was welcomed by ■Mr Mackenzie King, Canadian Prime Minister. It is officially stated that Mr Churchill is to meet President Boosevolt. The first conference is to he held in Montreal. Later conferences will) President Roosevelt will be attended by the combined chiefs of stall.
Mr Churchill is accompanied by Mrs Churchill, his daughter, Miss Mary Churchill, his military advisers, his two private secretaries, his medical adviser, and other officials. Mr and Mrs Churchill and their party arc staying at the Chateau Frontenac.
It has also been announced that President Roosevelt has summoned his chief military advisers for a conference in Washington.
