DAYLIGHT ATTACK

ON GERMAN STORES DEPOT IN FRANCE MADE BY BOSTON BOMBERS HITS SCORED ON LARGE BUILDINGS. CONTAINING U-BOAT AND OTHER SUPPLIES. LONDON, August 8. In daylight today Boston aircraft struck at a German steres depot at Rennes, in Northern France. Rennee is a centre of distribution of U-boat and other naval supplies. Hits were scored on sheds, barracks and other large buildings. The attack was made in two waves. In the first wave, delayed action bombs were dropped, and in the second, ordinary bombs. There was an intense anti-aircraft barrage, but no fighter opposition. One bomber did not return.
