REFRIGERANT GAS CYLINDER CONTROL NOTICE, 1943. rpHE Factory Controller has issued the x above-named notice gazetted August 5, 1943, and in force next day, directing with respect to REFRIGERANT GAS CYLINDERS that:— ' (a) In this notice refrigerant gas cylinder means a cylinder usually used for the purpose of containing Methyl Chloride (CH3CL), Freon (CCL2F2), Sulphur Di-oxide (SO2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), or similar refrigerant gas, and is hereinafter called such cylinder. (b) EVERY PERSON having possession or control of any such cylinder shall cause it to be completely discharged into service bottles, or otherwise, immediately the content of the cylinder is less than 5 pounds (by weight) of gas, and shall within seven days of emptying it, or after receiving any such empty cylinder, deliver it to the person from whom he received it full, if that person is in New Zealand; or, if that person is not in New Zealand, shall, within the same period deliver such cylinder to a common carrier for return to that person. (c) EVERY PERSON having on the last day of any calendar month while this notice is in force possession of any such cylinder (empty or not) shall within seven days thereafter furnish to the Factory Controller a written return setting out the number of such cylinders, type and capacity (in pounds weight of gas) of each, distinguishing the empty, and. full, or partly full cylinders, and also particulars of any cylinders returned empty during the month to any person in New Zealand or elsewhere by the person making the return.
