REGENT THEATRE

DOUBLE PROGRAMME. The double programme, “Man Who Returned to Life” and “Henry Aldrich Gets Glamour,” will be finally shown tonight. “HOLIDAY INN.” Irving Berlin has been responsible for bringing to the talkies some of the most catchy tunes and songs ever placed before picture theatre patrons and in “Holiday Inn,” he has surpassed all previous efforts. “Holiday Inn” is proclaimed by keen judges to be the greatest musical hit of the year, and it certainly abounds with tunes that will immediately appeal. There is a great quartette in the picture—Bing Crosby. Fred Astaire, Marjorie Reynolds and Virginia Dale, and they are brilliant in a number of excellent singing and dancing items. Bing Crosby is at, his best, and Fred .Astaire introduces many new dancing items in a most appealing manner. It is the happiest musical show ever written by Irving Berlin. There are eleven new tunes in the picture including the famous “White Christmas.” It is a musical treat which should not be missed.
