OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
A CONCESSION LOST (To the Editor.) Sir,—Would you kindly grant me space in your paper to make known the following facts; — For some 31 years Jenkins’s Motor Service has carried all hampers from the W.D.F.U. free of charge to the Army and Navy Auxiliary Club in Wellington, a kindness much appreciated by the branches. Since the change over of this service, we are now charged according to weight—2Blbs. 2s 6d, 901b5., ss. This practice no doubt will be felt by the A.N.A. Clubs, as organisations will find it too costly to send goods frequently, or more than very small hampers. Many thanks, Mr Jenkins, for your courtesy in handling and delivering hampers free of charge. It is fully appreciated now.—l am, etc.,
M. L. CHEETHAM, President Mauriceville-Ihuraua Branch, W.D.F.U.
