GREYTOWN
RED CROSS PUPILS AN ENJOYABLE CONCERT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Junior Red Cross pupils of the Greytown District High School, under the direction of Miss Oxford, arranged a concert at the school yesterday afternoon, the gathering being a most enjoyable one. The admission charge was small, but the sum of £3 5s lOd was realised. Personal. Mr and Mrs J. H. Rees left for Te Awamutu on Wednesday. Mr Rees has received an appointment at the Borstal Institution. Before leaving the staff of the Grey town Picture Company presented. Mr and Mrs Rees with a China tea service. The members of the Methodist Church also made a presentation of a hanging mirror to Mr and Mi's Rees. Shop Front Improved. After having been boarded up for the past twelve months the shop of Messrs W. H. Day Ltd., has had the front glazed with plate glass. This building was extensively damaged in the earthquake last year and has been practically rebuilt. TOWN HALL “MEET JOHN DOE.” The excellent comedy-drama. “Meet John Doe,” will be shown tonight
