POISON GAS
USE INTENDED BY HITLER. ACCORDING TO TURKISH REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 23. Reports reaching the Turkish frontier, says Reuter’s Istanbul correspondent, tend to confirm the impression that Hitler will use poison gas as a last resort. One report states that “thousands of special sealed railway trucks have recently been sent to the Eastern front, w’ith strict instructions that they may be opened only on the Fuehrer’s personal orders. These trucks are believed to contain poison gas bombs.”
