BILLS INTRODUCED
AND ESTIMATES DISCUSSED. PROCEEDINGS OF PARLIAMENT YESTERDAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Though urgency was Taken for a long list of estimates when the House of Representatives resumed yesterday and a supper adjournment was taken at 9.30 p.m., the sitting closed at 10.45 p.m. on the motion of the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser. Only two classes representing an aggregate vote of £5,054,860 were passed, the House spending almost four hours on the Labour Department estimates. The other item was for the Post Office Working Expenses Account. Practically all the discussion on the Labour Department vote centred on the- question of waterfront control. Two Bills were introduced. They were the Agricultural Emergency Regulations Confirmation Bill validating regulations made under the authority of the Agriculture Emergency Powers Act, 1934. and the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill containing several validating and empowering clauses. One of the general clauses of the latter Bill extends for two years the time at present allowed for revaluations of Crown and settlement lands.
