Weather showery in the ranges. Isolated showers extending eastwards. Temperatures cold, with frosts in sheltered positions. , FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. The Waingawa sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum, 60; minimum, 44; terrestrial, 40; sunshine, 3 hours; rain, 3 points.
