The South Canterbury Hunt Club was favoured with ideal conditions for its annual steeplechase meeting at Washdyke today, and the attendance was the largest seen on the course for a long time. The track was fairly firm and the racing was of a high standard. The sum of £30.986 10s was handled, against £21,926 at last year’s meeting, an increase of £9060 10s.
