FAREWELL GATHERING
PRESENTATION TO MR MANNERING. A representative gathering of the Wairarapa stock and station agents was held at the office of Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., to farewell Mr S. A. Mannering. manager of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. Masterton, who has been promoted to the position of branch manager of that company at Napier. Mr P. G. Ramsay, as chairman of the Stock and Station Agents’ Association, in making a presentation to Mr Mannering. spoke of the enthusiasm and ability Mr Mannering had always put into his work which had been of great value to the association, and had. incidentally, merited his promotion to Hawke's Bay. . „ Mr S. J. Gill (N.Z.F.C. Distributing Co., Ltd), endorsed Mr Ramsay’s remarks and expressed the regret of himself and his colleagues of the stock firms at Mr Mannering’s departure. Mr Mannering, in reply, stated that he had been very happy in the Wairarapa and would leave it with considerable regret. The opportunity was taken of extending a cordial welcome to Mr Mannering’s successor, Mr A. L. Fetch, who was present.
