MASTERTON CLUB. CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS CONTEST. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s champion pairs competition was commenced this week under the two-life system. The results were as follow:— McErlich and A. Gray (s) beat Rossitter and Hearps (s), 17-12; Gleeson and Walker (s) beat Morgan and McFarlane (s), 14-13; McNab and F. Mooney (s) beat Rossitter and Hearps (s), 19-10; Cliff and Henson (s) beat E. Gray and Roff (s), 12-9. In a Park Ferns challenge game the holders, O’Connor and McErlich (s) lost to Palmer and Freeman (s), 9-23. In the rinks section Hendry 19. beat Henson 15; Pickering 21, beat E. Mooney, 17.
