Braggins (Combined i, Mahupuka (Carterton). White (Carterton); fiveeighths, D. Clay (Combined). M. Hurley (Carterton); half, K. Black (Army); forwards. Owing to the Air Force playing Rongotai at Masterton for the Air Force Cup, the Wairarapa team had to be re-arranged, none of the Air Force team being available.
The Bush forwards are a solid lot but the Wairarapa selector has chosen a pack that should give a good account of itself. Both senior teams include players from the Armed Forces. Wairarapa has an excellent back team and if the ball gets out amongst them they will take a lot of stopping. Lieutenant Keith Elliott, V.C., an old Bush forward, who used to play for the Marima seniors, will be present. The game will commence at 2.45 p.m. It will be preceded by a curtain-raiser, Wairarapa v. Bush third grade teams, commencing at 1.30 p.m. Mr E. Grantham will control the senior game and Mr W. Grantham the third grade. ■ The Wairarapa third grade representative team to play Bush at Carterton on Saturday will assembie at the Carterton Showgrounds at 1 o’clock and bring their own shorts and stockings. Any player not able to attend should notify Mr J. Dwyer, the junior selector, or ring telephone 2235 Masterton.
