EKETAHUNA
WELCOMED HOME RECENTLY RETURNED SOLDIERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Drivers C. Burling, M.M., Nielsen, Corporal S. Ryan and Gunner Oldham were entertained in the Newman Hall at a party given in their honour by their next-of-kin, when an enjoyable time was spent. Mr J. Neville supplied the music for the dancing and extras were played by Mesdames R. Giles. G. Hansen and Mr Drysdale. After supper Mr J. Monaghan, on behalf of the large gathering, expressed pleasure at seeing the soldiers home again. Mr A. Golder welcomed the soldiers on behalf of the R.S.A. and Mr G. Hansen spoke of the work of the N.Z.E.F. The guests of honour were accorded musical honours, after which they all suitably replied. Personal. Sgmn. Keith Fauvel, who was wounded in the Middle East, returned home by a hospital ship and is staying with his parents. Mr and Mrs P. Fauvel, Alfredton Road. COSY THEATRE "THE REAL GLORY.” There will be shown tonight the brilliant drama, “The Real Glory,” featuring Gary Cooper, David Niven, Andrea Leeds and Reginald Owen.
