WEDDING
CREECH—BEETHAM. St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton. was artistically decorated with bulbs and lilies on Saturday afternoon when the marriage was celebrated of Nora, third daughter of Mr and Mrs Trevor Beetham, Kourarau, and Jesse W. Creech, United States Marine Corps, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. W. Creech, Snowhill, Carolina. The ceremony was performed by the Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich and Mr H. Miller Hope presided at the organ. The ceremony was fully choral and pupils of the St. Matthew’s Collegiate School (.of which the bride is an ex-pupil) sang sweetly in the choir. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a picturesque frock .of magnolia satin with a softly flowing tulle veil and she carried a bouquet of freezias and orchids with fronds of maiden-hair fern. Miss Doreen Kennedy, who was bridesmaid, wore a pretty- pink brocaded frock with a flared skirt and carried a bouquet of pink cyclamen. Pamela White (niece of the bride) made a charming little flower girl. Her frock was a replica of that of the bridesmaid and she carried a pink posy and wore a pink bow in her hair. The duties of best man were carried out by Technical Sergeant Payne, of the Marine Corps, and Dr Douglas Beetham and Mr William Beetham acted as ushers at the church. The reception was held at the Ranfurly Club, where a number "of guests from all parts of the Dominion were received by Mrs Beetham, who was attired in a frock of clover satin with a hat to match and carried a posy of cyclamen. The club rooms were beautifully decorated by Mesdames Skeet and Moser. Mr N. Irwin was responsible for the decorations at the church. Bolton (Woodville); Mrs Albert Beetham (Masterton); Mr and Mrs Wilfred Turner (Hawke’s Bay); Mr and Mrs Harold Beetham (Masterton); Mrs L. Coghill (Wanganui); Mrs N. Grant (Palmerston North); Mr and Mrs C. Wells (Rotorua); and Mr and Mrs Felix Eolton (Pahiatua). For travelling the bride chose a smart blue tweed costume with matching accessories.
