The New Zealanders, C. S. Dempster, of the Army, and K. James, of the Air Force, appeared in opposing elevens at Lords, a London cablegram reports. Dempster knocked up 53 for Army in a drawn game. The New Zealander, F. T. Badcock, made 58 not out for a British Empire eleven which beat Buccaneers by seven wickets.
