MASTERTON ROLL
1 NOW IN PRINTER’S HANDS. ENROLMENT COMPULSORY. The Masterton main electoral roll is now being printed and enrolments are being made on the supplementary roll. Electors are reminded that enrolment is compulsory. Those qualified to vote are persons of 21 years or over who have been 12 months in New Zealand and three months resident in the district in which enrolment is desired. They must be British subjects by birth or by naturalisation. The enrolment forms must be completed in every particular or they will not be accepted. In the case of women, the occupation must be stated as spinster, married or widow, as the case may be. The enrolment form must be signed by the applicant in the presence of a witness, who must be the registrar, deputy-registrar, an elector of the district, a J.P., a postmaster or any other person authorised by the registrar. The person desiring to be enrolled must sign the form himself. If any other person signs the form, whether requested to do so br not, he is liable to a fine of £5O. j
