REGENT THEATRE
“BETWEEN US GIRLS.” Tonight’s outstanding programme will be headed by the brilliant picture, “Between Us Girls,” in which Diana Barrymore’s versatility is lavishly demonstrated. She is co-starred with Robert Cummings. In different sequences of this gay modern comedy she appears as a 12-year-old hoyden, Joan of Arc, 82-year-old Queen Victoria, Sadie Thompson in “Rain,” plus the role of a young actress who possesses Diana Barrymore’s own vivid personality. It is a picture in which she fools the stronger sex from start to finish. A special feature of the programme will be the presentation of a March of Time, covering, as usual, a topical subject. Tomorrow night, at 8.15 o’clock, there will be a special screening of “Between Us Girls,” for service men, who may invite two friends.
