DEMAND FOR SEA TONNAGE. More than thirty years ago the fourmasted barque Hans, ex Mary Dollar, brought a cargo of grain to London. After voyaging the world over, the ship became, as Tango, a fishing barge, and then as Mary Dollar, a floating dance casino. When the U.S.A, authorities put an end to this business the vessel was sold, the intention being to put her on the Pacific coast and South Africa trades. On dry docking her condition was found not to warrant repairs. Now, however, with the scarcity of tonnage, this sailorman is reported to have been refitted, converted | to a six-masted schooner’ and re-named ■ Marie, It is understood that the ship's run is along the Pacific coast between I North and South America. —“Port of I London Authority Monthly.” i
