ATLANTIC CHARTER

AND OCCUPATION OF STRATEGIC BASES. STATEMENT BY MR ATTLEE. (British Official Wireless.) The Deputy Prime Minister, Mr C. .R. Attlee, replied that nothing in the Atlantic Charter would, in the opinion of the British Government, preclude the United Nations taking any necessary steps to afford all nations the means of dwelling in safety within their own boundaries.
