MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE. NURSES’ REPORT FOR MONTH. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday, the president, Mrs J. Caselberg, being in the chair. There were also present: Mesdames N. Irwin, S. L. P. Free, J. C. Broad, T. Jordan, H. H. Daniell, A. F. Stewart, J. Jameson, T. Wardell, P. Nathan, E. H. Heffer, J. M. Coradine, Kemble Welch, C. A. Carmine, Sortain Smith, T. F. Watson and D. Donald. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. V. Gordon, E. G. Norman, I. Bunny, H. Morrison, A. H. Falloon, R. C. Drummond, H. Robinson and G. Cowie, and Miss B. Kummer. Accounts amounting to £6l 5s 2d were passed. The outgoing executive was unanimously re-elected. Thanks w r ere accorded to Mrs Wrigley and Mrs Jas. Andrew for gifts. The usual donation of £lO was unanimously voted to the Karitane Hospital, Featherston. Thanks were expressed to the Masterton Borough Council and the Trust Lands Trust for allocating grants to the branch. The nurses’ report stated: —Masterton: Visits to office (town), adults, 377; babies, 363; pre-school children, 55; total, 795. Cdsuals, 7. Visits to homes (town), new cases, 41; old cases, 99; total, 140. Pre-school children seen in homes (town), 5; new cases for month (town), 12. Tinui sub-branch: Taueru, Blairlogie, Whareama, Annedale and Tinui. 2 visits each; visits to homes, 29; pre-school children seen in homes, 2. Mauriceville sub-branch: Mauriceville East and West, Kopuaranga, 2 visits each; new cases, 1; visits to homes, 30; pre-school children seen in homes, 2., Pre-natal section: Return visits to clinic, 11; visits to homes, 2; casuals, 1; total, 14.
