GLADSTONE MEETING. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Gladstone Women's Institute held its monthly meeting in the Gladstone Hall. Mrs Cooper presiding over a good attendance of members. A very interesting W.E.A. talk was given by Mrs Dunningham, her subject being “Argentine." She was accorded a vote of thanks and presented with a shoulder spray. A special bring and buy stall was held as the .result of which the soldiers' parcel funds will benefit. The results of the monthly competitions were: Best bloom, Mrs Wellwood 1. Mrs Dudson 2. Hand-knitted gloves, Mrs Smith. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs Crewe and her helpers. Next month's competitions will be three home-made buttons, and the best bloom. -
