KISKA SHELLED

BY AMERICAN NAVAL FORCE FOUR JAPANESE FREIGHTERS BOMBED. TWO PROBABLY SUNK & OTHERS DAMAGED. LONDON, July 12. United States warships have again bombarded Kiska, the Japanese base in the Aleutians. They also shelled the neighbouring island of Little Kiska. American bombers attacked four Japanese freighters in the Aleutian area. One was sunk, one was left sinking and the other two were damaged.
