HOMING PIGEONS
MASTERTON CLUB’S SHOW. GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held another successful show on Saturday, good entries being received for the two classes. The judge was Mr W. Harding, who made some interesting comment on the birds, especially the cock birds, which had flown over 200 miles. The results werq as follow: — Cock birds which have flown 200 miles: N. Gardner, 1; I. Mayes, 2; J. Tilyard, 3; A. Pinkney, V.H.C.; R. Stewart and Sons, H.C.; R. Stewart and Sons, C. Yearling hen birds: R. Stewart and Sons, 1; N. Gardner, 2; R. Stewart and Sons, 3; R. Stewart and Sons, V.H.C.; A. Miller, H.C.; W. Miller, C. The points winners are as follow: — Stewart and Sons, 59 points,; A. Pinkney, 45 points: N. Gardner, 45 points; Grant and Forrester, 40 points. Next week’s show will be for any coloured birds, either sex.
