GREAT AIR STATION
FOR USE OF FLEET AIR ARM CONSTRUCTED IN SOUTH AFRICA. IMPORTANT ITEM IN DEFENCE ORGANISATION. . (Bv Telceranh—Press Association—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, July 9. It has been disclosed that a vast modern air station, for the use of the Fleet Air Arm, has been constructed, at the request of the British Government, 100 miles from Cape Town, at a cost of £1,500,000. The station, which ; s designated H.M.S. Malagas, occupies ' n area of two square miles, and plays a very active part in the seaward defence of South Africa.
