THE Minister of Supply and Munitions x has issued the above-named notice (see N.Z. Gazette, July 8, 1943), in force July 9, 1943, directing that by July 21, 1943, every person who, on June 30, 1943, owned or had in his possession or control any steel in semi-finished forms or in the forms of structural shapes or piling, plates, rails or track accessories, hot rolled or cold finished bars (including flats and'squares), pipe, tubing, wire, wire ropes, wire netting or other wire products, tinplate, terne plate, tin mill black plate, sheets or strip, wheels oi' axles, or steel castings, shall, if there was one cwt. or more of stainless or alloy steel, or one ton or more of other steel, furnish to the Ministry of Supply (Steel Control), Govt. Life Insurance Bldg., Wellington, particulars of such steel, together with particulars of receipts and of sales and usage during the three months prior to said date, in conformity with the form provided for the puroose and obtainable as mentioned below:—The returns must be certified as being complete by the owner or person in whose possession or control the steel was on date mentioned, and all steel owned, possessed or controlled (except steel on which processing or assembly has been commenced) must be included in the return notwithstanding that any such steel may be reserved for any special works or contracts.
