MINING IN BRITAIN
MEETING OF NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE. MINISTER’S GOOD WISHES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) RUGBY July 8. The first meeting of the National Negotiating Committee of the coal mining industry was held in London today. The Minister of Fuel and Power, Major Gwilym Lloyd George, described the meeting as “a landmark in the history of the coal mining industry” and sent his best wishes for permanent success now in the conciliation machinery.
