TE WHARAU

COMING OF AGE PARTY GATHERING AT ("Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable party was given by Mr and Mrs A. McGregor, “Hikorangi," last Saturday evening to celebrate the coming of age of their daughter Joan. The time was spent in dancing, competitions and cards. A delicious supper was served, after which Mr R. McKinstry, in a few well-chosen words, proposed the toast of the guest of the evening. Miss Joan McGregor suitably replied. She said that their thoughts were overseas with the local soldiers who, were it not for the war, would have been present that night. Everyone would wish them the best of luck and a safe return.

Many beautiful present's were received.
