SOLWAY-MANAIA MEETING
COMPETITION WINNERS
(“Times-Age" Special.) There was a large attendance oi members at the Solway-Manaia Women’s Institute meeting held in the Epiphany Hall on Thursday. Mrs S. Munn presided. A display of felt work, which was the handicraft of Mrs Mannell, oi the Opaki Women’s Institute, was very much admired.
If was decided that the Solway-Ma-naia Women’s Institute join the Crippled Children Society.
The roll call.. "An article of work of a former demonstration." provided some very good workmanship. At the August meeting the committee will act as hostesses.
The competitions resulted as follows: —Vegetable posy, Mrs Munn 1, Mrs Catton 2, Mrs Curry 3. Hot water bag cover, Mrs Catton 1, Mrs Carmen 2, Mrs Munn 3. Large bloom, Mrs Munn 1. Mrs Carr 2, Mrs Butler 3. Small bloom, Mrs Tulloch 1, Mrs Curry 2. Mrs Carman 3. Bran biscuits, Mrs Smith 1, Mrs Curry 2, Mrs Crozier 3.
