ELECTIONS IN AUSTRALIA
POLLING DATE ANNOUNCED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA, July 5. The Australian Federal elections will be held on August 21. The date of the elections was announced by the Prime Minister, Mr Curtin, today, after he had visited the Governor-General, Lord Gowrie. Parliament will be officially disolved by proclamation on Wednesday.
