LIBERTY LOAN CAMPAIGN
PROGRAMME AT POST OFFICE. In furtherance of the Liberty Loan campaign, a R.N.Z.A.F. unit marched through Queen Street this afternoon, led by the Marine Band. Shortly afterwards a programme of musical items was contributed at the Post Office corner. There was a fairly large attendance of the public, in spite of the cold day. Bonds were sold by uniformed members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. Wing Commander Burrell and the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, took the salute at the Midland Hotel, as the Air Force unit marched past.
