"Australia is producing its own fighter planes, which have been described as the best of their class,” said the Minister of Aircraft Production, Senator D. Cameron.' Designs were drawn in February last year and six months later the first machine was in the air. Plans are being developed for the large-scale production of such machines. ■ The type of the Australian-built fighters has not been revealed.
