OF BRITISH SUBMARINE COMMANDERS. THREE AWARDED D.S.O. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) RUGBY, June 29. A thousand mines have been laid in enemy waters by a submarine under the command of Lieutenant-Comman-der L. W. Napier, who is one of three submarine commanders just awarded the D.S.O. for bravery and skill in successful patrols. It will be remembered that Lieutenant-Commander Napier did good work during the North African campaign in attacking an enemy submarine , bombarding a railway bridge on the Italian coast and sinking supply ships.
