The sinking by United States submarines of eight more enemy ships, in the Pacific and in Far Eastern waters, is announced by the United States Navy Department. The ships comprise one destroyer, one large transport, one mine-layer, three medium-sized cargo ships, one small cargo ship and one small schooner. Ships damaged were one large transport and two medium-sized cargo ships.
