ST. LEGER MEETING WAIRARAPA CLUB’S EVENTS. CHIEF CONTEST TO AUCKLAND DOG. The Wairarapa Coursing Club held a most successful meeting at the Akura plumpton yesterday afternoon, when there was a large attendance. The coursing was of a high standard. The St. Leger was won by Mr C. Taylor’s (Auckland) Stalin, and the open stake was won by Mr L. Gray's (Masterton) Desert Gold. Detailed results: — Open Stake.—First round: Lady Gail (P. Kay, Hastings), 4/0; Stormy Footsteps (James and Grey, Masterton) beat The Admiral (J. Hanley, Masterton), 1/0; Spitfire Joe (Miss P. Hanley, Masterton) beat Ulla Marie (G.
