EIGHTH ARMY
REPORTED BY GERMANS TO BE IN SYRIA TOGETHER WITH AMERICAN TROOPS. REINFORCEMENTS REACH NORTH AFRICA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 25. German military men informed Swedish correspondents in Berlin that the British Eighth Army had been withdrawn from North Africa and sent to Syria, where the British Ninth and Tenth Armies were also concentrated.
The Germans added that American troops had also been sent to Syria, and that new American troops had replaced the British forces withdrawn from North Africa.
