WEDDING

NILSSON-BUNNY. Artistically arranged bowls of hydrangeas and chrysanthemums formed an attractive background for the marriage at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, on Saturday afternoon of Vivianne Ida, youngest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr B. R. Bunny, of Cole Street, Masterton, to Flying Officer Douglas James Nilsson, son of Mr and Mrs B. 0. Nilsson, Haumoana. The Venerable Archdeacon E. J. Rich officiated and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The ceremony was fully choral, pupils of the St. Matthew’s Collegiate School singing in the choir. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr John Bunny, wore a becoming gown of white lace cut on graceful lines with a full skirt. She wore a beautiful' veil of embroidered net which has been in the family for many years, and carried a sheaf of arum lilies.

The bride was ■ attended by Mrs Peter Pearce (sister) as matron of honour and by Miss Diana Thompson as bridesmaid. They each wore pretty frocks of rose floral chintz cut on classical lines and they wore camellias in their hair. Sheafs of rose pink camellias were carried.

Flying Officer Bruce Tidy, of Marton, carried out the duties of best man and Mr Geoff. Longtiet, of Wellington, was groomsman. The ushers at the church were Squadron Leader Dick Hartshorn and Messrs Dan Vallance and Dick Pearce.

The reception was held in the Ranfurly Club where a number of guests were received by Mesdames Bunny and Nilsson. The former wore a black frock with a shoulder spray of cyclamen. The latter was attired in a black ensemble with a shoulder spray of cyclamen.

When Flying Officei’ and Mrs Nilsson left for the South, the bride was dressed in a check suit with a fur coat and matching accessories. Their future home will be at Gisborne.
