PERSONAL
Mr lan T. Cook has been elected chairman of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, and Mr P. A. Taylor has been appointed secretary in succession to Mr F. E. Feist, who recently retired after 14 years’ service. Mr Charles R. Johnson, who died last week in Palmerston North, was a prominent member of the St. Hilda Band (England), the- Tramways Band (Wellington), the Feilding Band and the Palmerston Nortn Garrison'Band, and was well known to bandsmen in Masterton.
Mr L. T. Wylie, who has been associated with the Public Trust Office in Masterton for many years, has been promoted to the position of Public Trustee at Dannevirke. Mr Wylie has been connected with various movements having for their object the progress of the town, and is a well known golf player. While regretting his departure, his many Masterton friends will be pleased to hear of his promotion.
