The New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association in a circular to shareholders states that the year’s turnover of their combined undertakings reached a new record total of £1,338,680. Altogether some 405,600 head of pigs, bobby calves and cull cattle were handled on owners’ account. In view of the acute shortage of pig meats for local and Armed Forces’ requirements, a strong appeal is'made to shareholders for increased production.
