ROTARY CLUB
WEEKLY LUNCHEON MEETING.
The weekly luncheon meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was held today, the president, Mr J. H. Cunningham, being in the chair. Visitors present were Second Lieutenant J. Whyte, Pte. P. J. Lee, Messrs P. J. Borthwick. M. M. Simpson, H. A. Tempter, E. J. Heffer, V. E. Donald, J. D. O’Connor, D. T. Herbert, G. Daubney and D. W. Finlayson.
The speaker, Mr C. O. Coad, of Wellington. dealt with the big task imposed on New Zealand in financing the war and made special reference to the raising of the Third Liberty Loan of £35,000,000. A report of his address appears on page 3. On the motion of Mr S. L. P. Free, Mr Coad was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
